Competition Team

At Queens Dance Academy we allow dancers ages 4-18 to take their talent and passion for dance to the next level. As a team, we take pride in our individuality, uniqueness, and knowledge we learn from both as a dancer and human being. 

 At QDA we strive to create and develop young artists with strong character and integrity. We believe in the collaboration of art and excellence in technique to ultimately help students reach their highest possible individual potential. Dancers participate in 3-4 regional competitions and 1 national competition yearly.

Age Ranges

Any dancer, age 7 and up, is eligible to audition for our competition team. It is important that each dancer and parent read and understand the competition team requirements prior to making a decision to participate on a competition team. Dance Company Levels will be divided based on technique, age, ability, attitude, maturity, and motivation.

Minis

Ages: 6 and under

Juniors

Ages: 7 - 9

Pre-teens

Ages: 10 - 12

Teens

Ages: 13 - 15

Seniors

Ages: 16 - 19

Queens Dance Academy

All Dancers Must:

  • Take ALL classes offered to them to be a part of the competition teams.
  • Mandetory to attend every competition
  • Both Dancer and Parent must sign the Dance Company Contract in order to be a part of the team.

*Audition dates will be given out to families that are interested. Audition date is a Ballet evaluation that will take place in the month of June after Recital.*

*$10 Audition fee in due on this date to audition $10 Audition Fee will only be accepted in person at the studio*
